Today's Farriers and Vets are looking at new ways to work as a team and are developing Equine Podiatry Practices at record numbers.

Hoof Redevelopment Specialist is a designation that will greatly assist that endeavor.

We are now offering several types of educational formats to assist both professionals to acquire that status.

Once that designation is EARNED; then there will be continuing education requirements that will have to be met to be officially classified as still holding that designation.

To the Owner, this insures that a Hoof Redevelopment Specialist is well versed in the lasted information available from the ongoing research here at The Hoof Redevelopment Center. To the Farrier and Vet, it assures that you will be kept up to date on developing theories that have been tried and proven in actual practice, not just in the research field.

To the industry, it provides an elite group of trained professionals that will have the highly technical skills to provide in depth care for the horses of the 21st century; using 21st century ideas, research, and methods instead of 19th century procedures that have no scientific data to back up claims. Claims that have been proven incorrect by the very fact that after over a century of use, the issues that were so wide spread then are still here today.

What you get as a Hoof Redevelopment Specialist!

You get individual training that will start you on the road to UNDERSTANDING the hoof using physics.

You will be better able to look at READ the hoof that you are looking at.

You will know what has taken place in the hoof capsule
to cause the distortions that you see.

You will no longer be intimidated by the hoof capsule that is showing signs of stress induced deformation.

How do I get the training?

First off, you will be interviewed.
That will take place using e-mail, photos, and a phone interview.

Then we will decide which training program best suits you.
For Farriers, this can either be a training program here at The Hoof Redevelopment Center, or at your location using your horses.

For Vets, we also offer a training program
at your clinic, working with both you and your clinic farrier together.

The training will take place over two sessions (a month apart)  lasting two days each session.
The both sessions will include theory and working on live horses.

We often get this question.
"I just graduated from Farrier School.
Should I come straight to you upon graduation."
The answer to that is this. "We applaud you for wanting to start out with all the skills you can possibly get. But unfortunately, this program will require that you become proficient at the act of shoeing before you attempt to acquire this advanced knowledge. We suggest 4 years full time practice before you attempt to move to this level of knowledge and skills. If you instructor feels you have exceptional skills and would be skilled  enough to be trained for this knowledge, have your instructor contact us directly on your behalf to discuss your specific situation.
