Here at The Hoof Redevelopment Center, we have been deluged with requests to assist owners with their hoof capsule distortion issues. At times it has been overwhelming.
At the same time it has driven home the point that owners are (rightfully so) concerned about these issues in their horses feet. Many of the lameness issues that plague the horse industry today have a direct correlation to these distortions.
If you look around this site and say to yourself, "Hey, that looks familiar..... or My God my horse has those flares", etc. then you have come to the right place for hope of REVERSING these issues. We DO NOT deal with these issues, we REVERSE them. There is an axiom in the study of physics that says, "FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION". So the form (or deformity) of your horse's feet are the result of the function they are asked to endure.
You can not simply rasp the foot here, wedge it there, nail on a different shoe to the bottom, make him bare foot, etc. and ever get it to reverse itself.
To REVERSE (instead of simply deal with) the distorted hoof capsule, takes highly technical trimming and very distinct shoeing protocols for that specific foot at a very specific time. It takes a plan. all be it a long term plan.
We have developed the Symmetrical Hoof-care Protocol (SHP) over TEN YEARS of research, collecting over FIFTEEN THOUSAND PHOTOS and assembling reams of data to back up what we claim.

Get a vet clinic in your area to look at our Vet Page and book one of our limited number of educational opportunities where we travel to their clinic to assist the vet and the clinic's farrier in mastering the SHP technique.
