Lee County Center  2420 Tramway Road: Sanford, NC 27332.

Lunch will be provided.

Shop for hotels in Sanford area. It's Best to fly into RDU (Raleigh, NC) but GSO (Greensboro, NC) is often cheaper and both are about the same distance away.

Lectures to be: 

1. Hoof Distortion: "What's happening & Why" 

2. Identifying the location of anatomical structures within the foot without radography.

3. The link between hoof distortion and pathologies.

4. Basic trimming and shoeing protocols for bio mechanical efficiency of the foot and lower limb.

5. Footing and its effect on performance and soundness

6 Solutions for common Farriery related problems.


Saturday October 26th @ 9:00 AM will be 10 miles away at The hoof Redevelopment Center (A division of Horses In Symmetry LLC)

Lunch will be provided.

This will be a live demonstration day, as well as a limited number of hands on participation, 


Hands on participation is  filled and only open to Farrier.

But all other Farriers and Vets are encouraged to observe and ask questions at no additional charge.

Mark Caldwell is a former member of the England's Farrier Team, a former head lecturer at Myerscough School of Farrier Science, and was responsible for the development of the BSc (Hons) program. He is a former WCF judge and examiner and was inducted into the International Horsesshoers Hall of Fame in 2015. He is a Fellow of the Worshipful COmpany of Farriers and recently completed a PhD study in hoof porphology as a predictice indicator of pathology at the University of Liverpool Vetrinary School. he has lectured and demonstrated advanced Farriery techniques around the globe, including England, The USA, Scandanavia, Indai, the Middle East, and Austrialia, as well as Japan, and South Korea. Mark is an ATF and has trained numerous apprentices.

Either flying in or driving..... search Sanford, North Carolina... for your hotel needs.

Flying in... the easiest is to fly into RDU International (Releigh, NC).

Depending on where you are coming is sometimes cheaper to fly into GSO (Greensboro, NC).
Both are about the same distance from Sanford.
